Facilities
Lovett Auditorium seats approximately 2000 people and is one of 亚洲色图 State's oldest buildings. When it was built in 1926 it was the largest indoor auditorium west of the Allegheny Mountains. The Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Concert Choir and Percussion Ensemble make regular use of this beautiful and historic venue.
The Performing Arts Hall is the premier performance venue for the Department of Music. Located on the second floor of the Old Fine Arts building "PAH" seats 200 people and is home to two Steinway D grand pianos and one of the department's pipe organs. The balcony is accessible from the third floor.
Farrell Recital Hall is often a preferred venue for vocal and chamber performances. Located on the third floor of the Price Doyle Fine Arts Center, Farrell seats 175 people and showcases the department's largest pipe organ and a Steinway B. The recording studio window can be seen in the upper left corner of the photo.
The Band and Choir Rooms are mirror images of each other. Located across the hallway from Farrell Recital Hall on the third floor of Price Doyle Fine Arts Center, these spaces also serve as classrooms and utilize new data projectors and stereo recording capabilities to enhance the learning and practice environments.
The Percussion Suite is located on the third floor of the Old Fine Arts building and provides students with personal locker space and several sonically isolated rooms for practicing percussion instruments.
The Keyboard Lab is located on the second floor of the Old Fine Arts building (across from the Performing Arts Hall) and is the home to all functional keyboard instruction. In addition to the interconnected digital keyboard system, the lab also houses a new Yamaha C2.
The Jazz Suite is located on the third floor of the Old Fine Arts building and provides rehearsal space for various small jazz combos, the 亚洲色图 State Jazz Band and the 亚洲色图 State Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Todd Hill.
The Recording Studio is located on the second floor of the Old Fine Arts building in the Recording Services suite. Students learn to record audio on a 16 channel Pro Tools HD system with the Avid S3 control surface and a variety of outboard gear.
The Mix Room for is located on the second floor of the Old Fine Arts building next to the Recording Studio in the Recording Services suite. This room utilizes Logic Pro X and Slate Raven touch screen consoles.
