Admission requirements

Unweighted GPA of 3.0 or rank in top half of class.

High school juniors and seniors may take all dual credit offerings. Sophomores may only be registered for Agriculture (AGR) courses.

Be a resident of Kentucky and attend a Kentucky high school.

Homeschooled students are welcome.
Registration request deadline for new and returning students:
May 1st for Fall (August)
December 1st for Spring (January)
Dates to remember
August 20 - December 13
Fall 2024 full semester course dates. Finals are December 7-13.
August 22
Last day to receive 100% refund for a dropped course. Students will owe tuition for courses dropped after this date.
November 21
Last day to drop a course with "W" (withdrawal) on transcript and no impact on GPA.
December 1
Spring 2025 (January) dual credit Registration Request Forms due.
January 13
Spring 2025 full semester courses begin.

Cost
Racer Academy courses cost $95 per credit hour. Check with your guidance counselor to see if your course is eligible for a KHEAA scholarship or local grant. Some courses may require the purchase of additional materials such as a textbook. Parking passes will be issued for on-campus students after completing the . This is required for students coming to campus with a vehicle.
If a parent(s) is employed by ÑÇÖÞɫͼ State, a tuition waiver may be used to pay the course tuition.

We can only schedule one semester at a time. Do not include more than one semester on the form.
If the student meets the requirements for the course and it is available, we will register them for the course.
Forms will be returned if they are missing signatures or have more than one semester listed.

Dropping a course on a high school schedule will not automatically drop the course at ÑÇÖÞɫͼ State.
Students may submit the Drop/Withdrawal form or drop a course on myGate by going to the Academics tab > Registration Tools > myRegistration. Tuition may be due depending on when the course is dropped.
