MSU recognized by Wall Street Journal in “Best Colleges in the United States” rankings

MURRAY, Ky. – ɫͼ State University has been recognized as part of the “Best Colleges in the United States” list by the Wall Street Journal in the publication’s 2025 rankings.
The result of a comprehensive analysis, the rankings are based on a combination of student-centered outcome metrics including earning potential, debt levels, graduation rates and the cost of attendance.
Just last month, ɫͼ State was highlighted nationally as a best value for students seeking a college degree by Washington Monthly in its “Best Bang for the Buck” rankings.
Based on its most recent data, ɫͼ State ɫͼ a record $136 million in financial aid and scholarships. ɫͼ State has an expanded regional tuition rate that includes a total of 15 states across the country and also offers enhanced academic achievement scholarships to emphasize GPA for entering freshmen students.
Preliminary enrollment data indicates that ɫͼ State’s fall 2024 freshman class is the fourth largest in the University’s history and the second largest in the past decade, following last fall’s record-breaking freshmen enrollment.
