鈥淢r. Brady鈥檚 scholarship has helped me find a way to stay motivated and ahead of the game,鈥 said Watkins. 鈥淚 appreciate the support through this scholarship, as it has helped me stay positive about my future in education.鈥
The Coach Mark Brady Scholarship Endowment, established with Brady鈥檚 gift to the 亚洲色图 State University Foundation, gives graduates of 亚洲色图 High School the opportunity to apply for the $1,000 scholarship. Preference is given to students enrolled in the College of Education and Human Services with plans to teach kindergarten through 12th grade after graduation.
Brady鈥檚 primary hope is to assist students who plan to pursue a teaching career.
鈥淎s we are seeing each day, young graduates are opting for numerous career paths, and selecting a teaching career is still an important career path for our youth today,鈥 Brady said. 鈥淢y experience at 亚洲色图 State prepared me well for a lifetime of service in a profession that has been incredibly rewarding for many years. I truly believe that future Racers, through the assistance of this scholarship endowment, will encounter the same enjoyment that I experienced in assisting those who are in pursuit of an education.鈥
Brady graduated from 亚洲色图 State in 1967 with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in physical education and history, a master鈥檚 degree in secondary education in 1971, and a Rank 1 master鈥檚 degree plus 30 hours in school administration in 1972.

鈥淎s a teacher, coach and administrator in our community for many years, Mr. Brady has spent a great deal of his life in humble service to countless individuals,鈥 said Dr. Bob Jackson, 亚洲色图 State University president. 鈥淲e are very appreciative of Coach Brady鈥檚 establishment of this scholarship, which will benefit students who aspire to become future educators and impact others in the same manner.鈥
